Children's and
Community Health Fair
The Children's and
Community Health Fairs are co-sponsored by Logan County Department of Public
Health and the Lincoln Park District. Logan County fifth grade students
attend the Children's Health Fair; the goal is to encourage children to
learn about health in a way that allows them to play an active part in the
learning process. Children receive information about cancer prevention,
exercise, nutrition, dental health, disabilities, drugs/alcohol, safety,
tobacco, asthma, posture, recycling and more. Students travel through the
Heart Adventure Challenge Course; students learn how the blood travels
through the heart while being physically involved.
The Community Health
Fair includes entertainment, health displays, and health screenings. More
than 60 organizations participate in the displays.

Lincoln Christian University donating the use of the facility, and a community
of community people and junior high students helping in the planning of P.A.R.T.Y. to make the day interesting and pertinent for seventh grade
